The editorial policy, in one page

The editorial policy covers five areas: sourcing, independence, affiliate disclosure, corrections, and the standards behind every page. The policy is the same on every page; the desk does not make exceptions. Readers who want to know how a particular read was produced can read the policy and then the page's sources, in that order.

Sourcing

The desk's primary sources are: the operator's official site, the official broadcaster's site, the official board's site, the official squad announcements, the MCA portal, the GST portal, the Income Tax Department's TDS rules, and the editorial desk's own test data. The desk's secondary sources are: the official broadcaster's commentary, the operator's verified social channels, and the official sports body's news releases.

The desk does not use as sources: third-party squad trackers, social media posts that are not from the official account, anonymous tips, content farms, or pages that themselves have not been independently verified. The desk labels every claim as either verified (sourced and confirmed) or not independently verified (likely, based on the editorial reading, but not confirmed).

Independence

The desk is independent of the operator. The desk is independent of the affiliate relationship. The desk's editorial picks are made without input from the operator, from advertisers, or from the affiliate partner. The desk does not accept paid placement disguised as editorial. The desk does not accept payment to publish or to remove a page. The desk does not accept payment to change an editorial pick.

If the desk makes a mistake, the desk publishes a correction. The correction is in the page, not in a footnote. The correction is dated. The correction is honest about what was wrong and what is now right.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links that point to a verified first-party route. The first-party route is configured in the operator's terms; the desk does not see the destination URL directly. The desk's affiliate relationship is disclosed in three places: on the link itself (with the rel attribute "sponsored nofollow noopener noreferrer"), in the disclosure block at the top of the relevant page, and in the disclosure block in the footer.

The desk's editorial picks are independent of the affiliate relationship. The desk would publish the same reads without the affiliate. The affiliate revenue funds the editorial work; it does not influence the editorial work.

Corrections

The desk publishes three kinds of corrections.

Minor corrections. Typos, broken links, out-of-date dates. Edited in place; the page's last-reviewed date is updated.
Material corrections. A scoring change, a role-limit change, a new operator policy. Added as a "Correction" note at the bottom of the page, with the date and a brief description.
Substantive corrections. A fact that was wrong, a claim that was misleading. Added as a "Substantive correction" note, with a more detailed description, and the page is rewritten.

The corrections log is on the about page. The most recent corrections are listed at the top of the log. The desk does not remove corrections once they are published; the corrections are part of the page's history.

Standards

Every page on the site follows the same standards.

Original content. The desk does not republish content from other sites. The desk's reads are written by the desk.
Verifiable claims. Every fact on the site is sourced to a primary record. The source is in the editorial notes, even if the source is not on the page itself.
Plain language. The desk writes in plain language. The desk avoids jargon, acronyms, and marketing-speak. The desk does not write "leverage" or "delve into".
Accessible structure. Every page has a clear H1, a clear hierarchy, a navigation breadcrumb, and a related-links block. The site is responsive on mobile and desktop.
Mobile-friendly. Every page is tested on a 390-pixel-wide viewport. The mobile sticky CTA bar is on every page except the responsible-play, contact and policy pages.

What the desk will not publish

The desk will not publish: fabricated live data, made-up winners, fake testimonials, paid placement disguised as editorial, pages that exist only to capture search traffic, the official squad announcements republished, the live scores republished, the live points tables republished, "guaranteed winning team" pieces, or pages that imply that fantasy is an investment.
