What this cricket reading room covers

This hub is the starting point for the cricket section of the site. It links the four main formats we publish for — international cricket, the Indian Premier League, the domestic calendar and women's cricket — and the editorial reads that go with each. We are an editorial site, not a broadcaster, so fixture start times and squad announcements are linked from the official sources rather than republished.

International cricket

International fixtures are covered by the ICC, the BCCI and the national boards. The editorial cadence here is one preview per Test series, one preview per ODI series and one preview per bilateral T20I series, plus a review after each match. We date every preview and review so you can see the most recent first.

IPL 2026

The IPL is the highest-volume format we cover. Each matchday has a preview, a captain pick ledger, and a post-match review. The IPL 2026 hub is the central index for the season — fixtures, points table, the teams, and the season-long captaincy chart. We do not host a live points table; the official IPL site is the only reliable source for that.

Domestic cricket

The Ranji Trophy, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the other BCCI domestic competitions are a useful source of players to watch for the IPL auction. We cover the standout domestic seasons, the players who broke through, and the conditions that produced them. The domestic calendar is also where most Indian fantasy operators source their squad data, so the names line up across formats.

Women's cricket

Women's international cricket and the WPL are covered with the same editorial standard as the men's game. Captain pick methods, role-balance templates and points references are format-agnostic; the only differences are the role limits and the squad depth. The women's game has fewer operator-specific contests; verify with the operator's app which fixtures are available.

How we verify a fixture

Before we publish a preview, the editorial desk checks four things: the start time against the official board's announcement, the venue against the ground authority's listing, the squad against the operator's push notification, and the weather against the venue's nearest weather station. If any one of those four sources disagrees, the preview is rewritten. The last-reviewed date at the top of every preview reflects the last full check, not the last edit.

What you will not find here

We do not publish live scores, ball-by-ball commentary, or live points tables. The official broadcaster and the official operator app are the right place for those. We publish the reading that helps you build the team before the contest closes, and the post-match review that helps you improve the method for the next one.

The editorial calendar

The cricket reading room is published on a rolling calendar. The cadence is: one preview per match, one review per match, one long-form read per week, and a quarterly update to the scoring and KYC references. The cadence is set by the editorial cycle, not by a content marketing target. The desk's reads are designed to be useful in the next match, not in the next quarter.

How to read the room

The reading order is: hub → tip → blog → money → safety. The hub is the starting point; the tip is the method; the blog is the long-form; the money is the platform-specific flow; the safety is the rule. The room is built so that each page links to the next in the order, and so that the reader who is short on time can read just the hub, and the reader who is long on time can read the whole thing.

From the official board or the official broadcaster. We link the source, not the repost.

How often is this index updated?

The hub page is reviewed weekly. The matchday previews are reviewed the morning of each match, with a toss update when the toss is announced.

Do you cover age-group and club cricket?

Not regularly. The editorial focus is the formats where fantasy contests are available: international, IPL, the WPL and the senior domestic competitions.
